The entitlements for wideband and Canada Full Frequency Range are free, but you have to be able to show that you have a legitimate CPS license. Similar to the idea with Canada Full Frequency Range, which lets you program 800MHz frequencies above 866MHz if you can show that the radio is going to be used in Canada.
You need a code for each PC you run CPS on. If that comes back OK, CPS will let you program wideband frequencies on that PC only. Basically, you get a code that you type into standard MOTOTRBO CPS, which then gets authenticated against Motorola's servers. Wideband TX is critical for analog ham an entitlement ID.
